On 29 January, the Establishment andDonation Ceremony of the Zhejiang University Education Foundation (ZUEF) Careand Poverty Relief Fund was held on Zijingang campus. This fund was jointlyfinanced by Zhejiang University Sunny Technology Co., Ltd., Zhejiang WhyisTechnology Co., Ltd. and Beijing Rushang Zhida Information Technology Co., Ltd.(Hangzhou Branch).

On behalf of Zhejiang University, ZhangHongjian, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and Vice President of ZhejiangUniversity extended his gratitude to the three donating parties. He expressedthat this fund will offer practical assistance to students, teachers and staffin difficulties. The University will transform the support received fromvarious sectors in society and the alumni community into unremitting drivingforce to the University’s reform and development.

On behalf of the University, ZhangHongjian and Li Peipei, Vice President of the University Development Committee,respectively issued honor certificates and donation nameplates to the threedonating parties.

Chen Jianhui, President of ZhejiangUniversity Sunny Technology, Yu Yongfang, President of Zhejiang WhyisTechnology, and Xiong Fei, President of Beijing Rushang Zhida InformationTechnology were all present at the ceremony and delivered their speeches.Representatives from the Office of the CPC Committee, the Office of thePresident, the General Affairs Office, and the Development Liaison Office ofZhejiang University were also in attendance. The ceremony was presided over byGu Yulin, Deputy Director of the Development Liaison Office and DeputySecretary General of ZUEF.
