On June 27, 2019, Cao Qiyong, a model of hometown loving in Zhejiang Province,Honorary Doctor and Member of the Board of ZJU, paid a visit with his delegation.Ren Shaobo, Secretary of ZJU CPC Committee, met with them.
Ren Shaobo claimed the Cao’s family, as an old and good friend of ZhejiangUniversity, have formed a deep friendship starting from Honorary Doctor CaoGuangbiao and the friendship was carried forward by Mr. Cao Qiyong. He extendedhis gratitude to the Cao’s for their continued support and in particular, to farsightedand philanthropic Cao Qiyong who has made great contributions to the progress ofZhejiang University. In addition, after detailing the latest development ofUniversity, Prof. Ren stated that high-quality connotative development isnecessary while seeking rapid development, so it is his sincere hope that membersof the Board play the role of think tanks and offer their wisdom andsuggestions to Zhejiang University.
Mr. Cao Qiyong expressed his appreciation for the rapid development of ZJU andbelieved the friendship of both sides will deepen in the future. Mr. CaoQidong, younger brother of Cao Qiyong, holds in-depth cooperation with Collegeof Optical Science and Engineering. At the symposium, he promised to strengthenthe cooperation and exchange with ZJU for better education.
Vice President Luo Weidong accompanied Mr. Cao and his delegation on a visit to ZhejiangUniversity Museum of Art and Archaeology and conducted in-depth communication.He sincerely invited Mr. Cao and his delegation to attend the opening ceremonyof the Museum of Art and Archaeology in the latter half of the year.
In addition, Mr. Cao and his delegation paid a visit to Cao Guangbiao High-TechBuilding and exchanged ideas with the heads of School of Materials Science &Engineering and College of Computer Science and Technology.
