Onthe morning of June 13, 2019, pre-trip conversazione on Zhejiang UniversityYongping Student Loan for Outbound Studying was held in Zijingang Hall, on the3rd floor of the Alumni Activity Center of Zijingang Campus. WangJue, Deputy Director of Graduate Affairs Department of Zhejiang University CPCCommittee, Chen Weiying, Deputy Director of Office of Global Engagement, LiuYoushi, Deputy Director of Academic Affairs Office of Undergraduate School,Dang Ying, Deputy Director of Office of Development and Liaison, DeputySecretary General of Zhejiang University Education Foundation and DeputySecretary General of Zhejiang University Alumni as well as directors ofrelevant departments were present. Xu Ruijun, Director of Project ManagementDepartment of Office of Development and Liaison, chaired the conversazione.
Inthe conversazione, teachers extended their best wishes to the students who wonthe 13th Yongping Student Loan for Outbound Studying. With a focuson the Two Questions put forward by late President Chu Kochen, they gavesuggestions on how students adapt to new environment and learn well fromdifferent perspectives. Meanwhile, teachers hoped these students give full playto their talents for better cooperation between Zhejiang University and some foreignuniversities. As one of the planners of the project, Dang Ying shared the ideasand aspirations of how alumnus Duan Yongping set up this Loan for a betterunderstanding among students. Mrs. Chen Weiying reminded students of respectingcustoms, procedures related matters and safe travels. Mrs. Liu Youshi urgedstudents to study hard, to learn from others, to build interconnection and tobe grateful. Wang Jue expected students to popularize this Program and lookedforward to seeing them again in Zhejiang University. Mr. Zhu Lianzhong fromCareer Development Centre urged them to complete relevant procedures beforeleaving. Mrs. Zhan Meiyan from Student Affairs Department of the CPC Committeeencouraged students to stay true to their original mission, learn to listen, andto absorb from others to make achievements. He Xumi from Zhejiang UniversityAlumni Association introduced the worldwide branches of the organization andurged students to participated in activities.
Later, students introducedthemselves and exchanged ideas.
Afterthe meeting, the students were given a detailed introduction to the issuanceand repayment of the Loan from the Zhejiang University Education Foundation.
