On April 26, Zijingang Institute ofSmart Health Big Data, Zhejiang Province signed an agreement of donation toZhejiang University Education Foundation in Alumni Building of ZijingangCampus. The donation was believed to be used for Maternal and Child HealthResearch Center under the framework of the National Institute of Healthcare BigData, Zhejiang University.

Vice President LUO Weidong met with Ms.JIN Yan, Chairman of the Institute, and her team. LUO Weidong and JIN Yansigned the donation agreement on behalf of the two parties.

LUO Weidong said this initiative embodiedthe determination and belief of all walks of life to serve the strategic goalsof healthy China, and the social responsibility and foresight of the Institute.Mothers breed the future and newborns are the future, which lays foundation fornational prosperity. The establishment of the Maternal and Child HealthResearch Center will promote medical education, healthcare big data researchand maternal and child health protection.

XU Ting, Dean of Zijingang Institute ofSmart Health Big Data, expressed his hope to make contributions to ZhejiangUniversity in social benefits, medical health and big data through such forms.In addition, the two parties should give full play to their advantages in resourcesand platforms in follow-up research and further collaboration in more fields.

HU Wei, Assistant to President of ZJU,conferred a certificate of honor to the donor. Heads and representatives ofstudents and teachers from Development and Liaison Office, School of Medicineand Women’s Hospital School ofMedicine, Zhejiang University were also present.
