OnOctober 12, 2018, Yu Pengnian Charity Foundation held an activity “Goodwill:Inheritance, Persistence and Innovation” at Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, Beijingwhen Yu Pengnian Charity Foundation signed donation agreements with fouruniversities, including Zhejiang University (ZJU) for setting up “PengnianEducation Foundation at Zhejiang University Education Foundation”, aiming atcultivating high-caliber talents and helping them to be better. Prof. RenShaobo, Standing Vice President of Zhejiang University signed an agreement withMr. Xu Bin, Vice President of Yu Pengnian Charity Foundation, and granted adonation certificate to him.

Prof.Ren Shaobo first expressed his sincere thanks to the Foundation and said he wasdeeply impressed by Mr. Yu, his family and his Foundation for charityactivities. The charity reflected its support for Zhejiang University, itsobligation and farsightedness for the whole world, thus it will definitely beof great impetus to the talent cultivation and “Double First-Class Initiative”of Zhejiang University. Abiding by the requirement of “cultivating talents withboth virtue, intellect and holistic development”, ZJU will work harder tonurture first-class high-quality innovative talents and leaders with globalcompetitiveness. And it is expected further exchanges and cooperation will beconducted between the two sides in more fields.
